Humanitarian efforts are underway to address the global shortage of protective equipment. Essential workers, who are keeping society running during this crisis, are in dire need of face shields. Fortunately, individuals with access to 3D printers can make a significant contribution by manufacturing these lifesaving devices. A modified version of the PRUSA design for face shields has been created, utilizing a PET bottle as the shield. This innovative approach eliminates the need for expensive laser cutters and plexiglas. The PET bottle provides superior visibility compared to laminating foil, allowing users to see more clearly. To facilitate this effort, a step-by-step assembly guide has been developed and shared on our blog.
