This is another customizable quadcopter (F450 type) made possible through the redesign and improvement of existing parts. Personal modifications have been implemented on some components, while others are entirely original designs. It flies remarkably well, boasting less weight and rigidity compared to its DJI F450 counterpart. All parts shown in 3D drawings are printable and have been optimized for hassle-free and effective FDM printing. Printing guidelines: - The model must be printed using the .STL file without supports (I prefer a 0.25mm layer height). - Only print parts that are required; if you only need legs or GPS units, feel free to leave them out. Quadcopter legs types: Legs are highly recommended as they cushion hard landings, although optional. Three different designs exist: 1. The short version is for cases where nothing is installed beneath the main plate. 2. Medium legs should be used when installing a battery below the plate. 3. Large legs are ideal when accommodating a substantial load such as a gimbal. To achieve optimal results: - For arms, you'll need 4 pieces each. - For legs: Type A needs 2 pieces; type B requires another 2 pieces. - The APN2 damp system will necessitate two dampBottom parts. Optimal infill settings for balance between strength and weight: 1. Arms: I've found PLA 30% to offer the perfect blend of weight and rigidity. 2. Legs: Utilize PLA with a 100% infill to ensure the most robust structure. 3. Rest of components: PLA 20% works perfectly as it doesn't compromise on either front. Assembling will require an assortment of M3x5mm, M3x8mm bolts and some washers. The entire model without any payload, including basic FPV gear, comes out to approximately 815 grams in total weight.
