3D-Printed Extendable Sun Visor Shade Clips for Porsche (718 Cayman / Boxster)

<p>In an effort to make myself and my wife as comfortable as possible on long trips, I designed and printed these clips that cling onto the sun visor and allow a 100mm (3.9") x 300mm (12") piece of 1.5mm (1/16") material (<i>hard plastic, balsa wood, carbon fiber, cardboard, etc.</i>) to be extended to block the sun from the side windows. I have included a DXF file for cutting!</p><p>You will want to print these from a higher temp filament like ABS, Nylon, etc. As even PETG softened in the &nbsp;50+C 130+F of a cars interior in the summer.<br><br><strong>Designed for a 718 Cayman, these probably work with other Porsche models.</strong><br>I have two STL versions available (<i>comes in a printable pair; drivers / passenger side</i>):<br><strong>Porsche Visor Clip STL</strong> - this is the final version that will still allow the vanity mirrors to be opened if you slide the panel all the way over.<br><strong>Porsche Visor Clip Remixable STL</strong> - this is a simpler 20mm version that is just the extrusion. It would block the mirror, but would allow you to remix the design easier.<br><br><strong>visor_blade DXF</strong>: I had to notch them in order to fit the middle visor clips when closed. I could have also shortened them to about 11", but this worked out. Added a little gaffers tape for grip.</p><p><strong>Enjoy!</strong></p>
