3D Printed Egg Rotator for Chicken Egg Incubator
thingiverse
I had a concept a while back about creating a 3D printable egg rotator for people who build their own or simple DIY chicken egg incubators at home. I came across numerous projects online and various designs that required you to purchase parts from a hardware store. My design, on the other hand, only requires a servo motor and some screws as additional components. The entire project was sketched out on paper and went through several iterations before settling on a final design. It currently holds up to 6 eggs at a time. In the future, I plan to integrate this egg rotator into a fully automated open-source chicken incubator. Please review your print settings carefully. Most parts were printed with some form of support to limit warping that can occur without a heated print bed. I ended up applying a layer of electrical tape to the spindles for improved grip while rotating the eggs. You will need to print: - 1x Servo Bracket - 1x Rack_MaleSide - 1x Rack_FemaleSide - 1x Support Side Finished - 1x Servo Side Finished - 1x Threaded_Gear - 2x Threaded_Gear_and_Rod - 6x Threaded_Spindle You can also increase the number of eggs it can hold by adding more spindles.
