3d printed drag knife (m3 brass inserts & 1/4" shaft)
thingiverse
I changed the threaded holes to accept M3 brass inserts, which I installed with a hot soldering iron. They are just a bit undersize at 4.9mm in diameter. This modification should make them last longer with regular blade changes, such as unscrewing and re-tightening. Additionally, I changed the top of the design to accept a 1/4 inch rod instead of the original 6mm rod. Since I typically use 1/4 inch and 1/8 inch collets and endmills, this change should work well for me. I appreciate your great design and the link you provided for the STP files. According to the drawing, the offset is approximately 3.55mm.
