3D Printed Double Stage Aspiration Fan Unit For Laser/CNC Engraver/Cutter

Hi everyone; Following the previous project of laser head aspiration nozzle, this project is a 2-stage aspiration fan unit for laser/cnc engraver/cutter. What you need: 1. 3D Printed parts. 2. Two units of 40mm EDF, 2S (7.4V) with brushed motor (specs shown in photos). 3. Barrel type DC power connector (2.5mm) 4. 2 or 3 way DC power switch. I used a 2-way switch just to chang the power from single to dual stage. 5. CA glue 6. 20 mm conduit pipe How to build it: Building process has been illustrated in bellow videos and is summarized as below: 1. 3D print the parts; you need support only for the body shells. Set the support for everywhere and adjust the overhang angle on 15 deg. 2. Fit the EDFs on a half body, you don’t need to glue it. manage the cables in considered grooves. 3. Do the power connector and switch wiring/soldering as shown in the video. 4. Glue half the connection box to half body with CA. 5. Fix the power connector and switch in connection box, you need to chop off some parts of the switch as shown in video. 6. Fix the other half of the body, you don’t need to glue it. 7. Fix the other half of the connection box and slide its cover over it so it holds two parts together. 8. Slide the two caps over both ends of the body to hold the body together, don’t glue them. They should be removable for repair purpose. 9. Glue the stands under the body. To keep the body parts removable for repairing purpose, glue each stand on each half body separately. 10. fix the conduit pipe on suction side and connect its other end to the nozzle on laser head. 11. you can your choice of fix/variable power supply to power up the unit.
