I use these to make approx 40x8mm dimples in 2mm AW-5754 aluminium. (Amada V40 die included)I use a 4mm guide pin in between the die adapter and bottom dimple part to keep them aligned. You could easily just modify the geometry to get the same result without the guide pin.
