3D PRINTED/CNC EBIKE CONVERSION KIT

If you need a dependable daily commuter bike, this is not the conversion for you. This e-mtb conversion is designed to be fast, fun and lightweight for weekend rides through the woods. Riding in the city with this kit is not recommended, as it will draw attention due to its unique noise signature. The sound of the motor will be noticeable, unlike an electric skateboard where the loud wheels mask all other noises. I've spent six months working on this project, so I'm hopeful that everything will come together successfully. It's been a frustrating process with many troubleshooting challenges along the way. After 30 minutes of intense riding on the trails, the motor still gets quite hot. This is to be expected given its small size and peak power output of 3000 watts. Constant power output is approximately 700 watts before the motor overheats, which is a significant amount for a motor this size. I've experienced occasional screw loosening, so it's essential to use Loctite to prevent this issue. Using a VESC 4.12 with a 12s setup might not have been the best choice, but I haven't encountered any problems as of now. The battery is a 12s5p configuration using Samsung 30Q cells. This project is still a work in progress, and Instructables may be added later. If you download the .step file and open it in your CAD program, you'll see exactly how all the components are supposed to come together.
