3D Printed CNC dust shoe

Here is my attempt at a Dust collection/vac setup for Nikodem Bartnik's 3D printed Dremmel CNC machine (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3004773). This setup works best with a 1.25" hose; you can use bigger hoses by attaching an adapter above the clamp. Be cautious when removing supports from the upper unit, as the part that slips over the Z-axis is extremely thin and may only be one or two layers thick. You will need to shorten the locking nut of the Dremmel to allow the threads to engage with the added thickness. I recommend printing 2-3 bottom plates, attaching the brushes, and then cutting them to varying lengths. This way, as your milling project progresses, you can pause, swap out a plate with shorter bristles, and continue without interference from the brushes. I used four rare earth magnets (8x3 mm) that are not glued into the top; instead, they float in place, automatically flipping to the correct polarity when attaching the bottoms. Use four more magnets in each lower plate, gluing them in place with Superglue. For the brushes, I suggest using: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07P7FNFK7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Cut the brushes to the correct length and press-fit them into place. If desired, glue them with Superglue or Gorilla Glue. Print at a layer thickness of 0.2mm or lower. Supports should be enabled during printing. I used PETG for this setup, but PLA should also work well.
