3D Printed Challenge Lock

<p>This is my 3D Printed Challenge Lock I designed for the Locksport community. It is designed to be fully 3D Printed, and as long as your printer can manage 0.4mm tolerances, it's no problem.<br>Pins are 5mm in diameter, and you will need 4 pen springs of appropriate diameter and length.</p><p>When you insert the key, you may need to wiggle it in and out as 3D printed parts are not perfectly smooth and if your 3D printer has a bit worse tolerances it will be rougher (my printer has a 0.2-0.3mm tolerance and everything slides very smoothly with a bit of gap.</p><p>When you try to turn the lock you have to put a bit of force and turn it a few times to loosen it out. Don't worry, it won't break, just you have to put in a bit of force as it is 3D printed, hence imperfect tolerance, as I mentioned earlier.</p><p>Design considerations:<br>1. Very difficult, but still possible<br>2. Fully 3D Printable without supports except springs</p><p>Features:<br>1. Countermilling/threading in all chambers<br>2. Hard to tension core. Hence, a printable tok tension wrench is provided.&nbsp;<br>3. Security driver pins (2 spools, 1 diy serrated, 1 standard)<br>4. All serrated key pins<br>5. Very long lock so that last pin is difficult to get to with a standard length pick.</p><p>Attached is the .step file in case you want to make any changes. &nbsp;<br>Hope you enjoy!</p><p>Last tip: In case you get something stuck, you can use a knife or something to cut the thin part of the bible and break it to salvage the springs.</p><p>Print settings:&nbsp;<br>Listed are the working settings. You can make it stronger if you want, but this is definitely very very strong already.<br>Layer height: 0.2mm<br>Pins: 5 walls<br>Key: 5 walls, 15% infill<br>Core: 3 walls, 30% infill<br>Bible: 3 walls, 30% infill<br>Nut: 3 walls, 50% infill<br>&nbsp;</p>
