3D printed Car Cam for N scale model
thingiverse
I designed this car cam using a 3D printer, allowing me to attach my Sony HDR-AZ1 action cam and drive it on a N scale layout. With the HDR-AZ1, I can record video in 1080p and enjoy wireless video capabilities. I recently updated the Cam Car to version 1.2, adding a screw hole for fastening the action cam. The screw type used is M4. Here's a video of this car cam: http://youtu.be/swBI6febOFc If you're interested, please like my Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/My3dPrinterWorld, where I post regular updates on 3D printing and more. I was inspired by RM models to create this innovative car cam design. Instructions: To start, select either the version with or without support; assuming a nozzle size of 0.4mm in the with-support model. To remove the support under the board, use basic techniques. For easier support removal from camera tenons, a precision cutter is required. Using Kato freight bogies, assemble them on to my Cam Car by fitting them onto pre-printed shafts integrated within the model's design. My design incorporates Kato Freight Car Bogie technology.
