With this you can extend the reach of the lamp one arm at a time (rather than needing a pair of arms). This may replace the other two types of arms (male and female). Good lighting at your desk or reading location is essential for visual comfort and eye health. Finding a lamp that meets your needs or fits on your desk can be challenging, limiting work space. In this project, I show how to make a 3D printed articulating lamp, customizable according to your preferences. The final product may be more expensive than ordinary lamps found in stores. However, none will offer the same level of configurability or allow you to proudly say that you created it yourself! If you have access to a 3D printer or a hacker/maker space, this project is an exciting opportunity to equip your workshop and practice 3D printing and modeling skills.
