I had a blast creating my own desk lamp, so I decided to take on the project myself. I printed out all the necessary parts and was excited to assemble them into a functional lamp for my workspace. However, when I attempted to mount it to my desk, I encountered an obstacle that required some creative problem-solving. To resolve this issue, I tweaked the wall_joint STL file by modifying its foot to be square-shaped, preventing any lateral movement. I employed OpenScad's capabilities to import the STL and make adjustments as needed. The revised design turned out perfectly! For securing the lamp in place, I utilized four m3x16 screws with nuts – two for attaching it to the desk and a pair for fastening the switch to its arm. To drill these holes, I opted for a 3mm drill bit, which proved to be an efficient choice. By taking this approach, I was able to complete the project quickly without compromising on quality.
