3D Printed Aluminum Can Holder - Bottom Socket
grabcad
These are some of my experimental models of popcan/energy drink/etc. holders (any standard extruded aluminum can). The flexible socket is designed to be printed with TPU and holds tightly to the bottom lip of the cans. There is also an adapter that can be printed out of a material like ABS which could be connected to any container. The main issue with the aluminum can socket holder is the significant batch-to-batch variance in the aluminum can tolerances, which can render the holder non-functional at times. Not to mention the dimensional differences between can types (although they are mostly similar). The idea is that the socket can be attached to any surface with double-sided tape. In some instances, these holders work very well, but it's not the most convenient or reliable holder.
