3D Printable Waffle

Create your own 3D printed waffle with an accurate design! I was frustrated with the lack of realistic models, so I designed one myself. This waffle has a diameter of six inches and features 64 indentations for butter and syrup. The thickness connecting sections is 1/4 inch. The internal features have been optimized at a 15 degree angle to prevent the waffle from getting stuck in the maker. Future versions may include a 4x4 grid of syrup wells, slightly radiused top walls and simulated flash for parting lines. The model was designed without flash to allow printing without supports, although this can be added upon request. The large surface area to volume ratio requires minimal perimeters during printing. A low infill amount of 5% was used in testing. However, it's not recommended to print without any infill due to the long bridging required on the bottom of top syrup wells. The size is currently six inches in diameter but can be easily adjusted. Support isn't necessary and overhangs are manageable at .57 inches for most printers.
