The round thread design proves effective with minor inaccuracies. A 6mm threaded rod is necessary to connect the printed pieces and create a longer assembly. The oversized nut ensures a minimum of 1mm diameter clearance and 0.1 mm radius thread play. This leadscrew setup is ideal for lathe or mill projects where budget constraints are a major concern. The uploaded OpenSCAD version took approximately 20 minutes to render, which seems reasonable given its large file size - a whopping 6MB.
