3D-Print Your Own Filament! Watch the video to learn more about how it's done: https://youtu.be/6kbjZobJtbM - The pictures just don't do these colors justice! It sounds crazy, but this technique really works! With it, you can create one-of-a-kind prints and color-match your 3D-prints with ease. Here's how it works: You change the filament (and its color) while printing, resulting in a multi-colored filament that can be printed again to achieve a homogeneous color. For best results, use 100% infill and turn off combing. I'm still working on optimizing my slicer settings, as I sometimes get wired travels in the middle of my prints - which makes my filament less consistent. Share your slicer settings if you find something that works well! When printing with 3D-printed filament, you'll need to increase the flow rate. I had to boost it to 150%, but this number will vary from printer to printer, so some experimentation is required. There are two STL files available - one gives you about 7g of material, while the other provides around 30g. Both are designed for a ~200x200mm print bed. Update: I've added a 110mm version for smaller printers. This one hasn't been tested yet! Follow me on social media to see sneak peeks and memes: YouTube, Facebook, Instagram
