3D-Printable Endstop switch
thingiverse
Introducing the MK2, a 3D-printable mechanical endstop switch for your printer! After breaking one, I decided to create my own design. It's been tested and used in dozens of prints so far. Choose between V1 or V2 designs with parametric files available for modification. For the parts needed, gather some wires, a pen spring, tin foil, and a 10k resistor (unless using internal pullup resistors). Refer to the pictures for wiring guidance, which includes adding tin foil for contacts and following the circuit described in this link: http://reprap.org/wiki/Mechanical_Endstop#Switch_wiring. Check out the instructions for a simple diagram of the wiring process.
