Project summary: A small-scale, gas-pressurized (typically CO2), reciprocating engine has been developed for model aircraft enthusiasts as an affordable alternative to metal engines. Polyjet 3D printing was utilized due to its high resolution, removable support structures, and strong material properties. Throughout this project, Roman Kobets, a Grade 11 student, honed his skills in 3D printing, 3D modelling software usage, and problem-solving.
