This 3D printable Cloth Mask requires no sewing whatsoever. Everyone wants a 3D printed mask, but they're just not safe enough. This one is. The 3D printed parts replace the need for sewing if you really want to print it instead of sewing. It's three parts doubled, with one set for each side. You'll need a piece of cloth and some elastic (a good source is a used disposable mask). The "block or body" prints normally four top and bottom layers at 0.24 layer height with two perimeters. You can use three if you want it to be a little heavier. The "bite" is the teeth that hold the cloth in place, printed in VASE mode. The "pin" is the pressure bar (also vase mode) that holds and presses the bite bar in place while providing passage for your elastic to run through. Measure your cloth, put it over your face like a mask, cover your nose, and run it under your chin almost to your neck. Grab this point, remove the cloth from your face, cut the cloth along a line equal to that point you grabbed. Work the cloth into the slot on the body block just once through each corner, then tug it all through. The bars should form a light "V" shape with the top being shorter than the bottom (you can adjust this later). Place one cloth in position and work the bite bar in. You'll see there's a slot for it inside; wiggle it around to even things out and slide the pressure pin into place to hold everything together. Run elastic through the hole and repeat for the other side. Put it over your face, then tug the cloth top and bottom edges to adjust for a good fit. To clean, use IPA for the plastic and toss the cloth in with the wash. Change it out after two hours or when damp; print two or three sets. The pressure pin and bite bar are vase mode with no top or bottom layers. Print the body block as four top and bottom layers with two perimeters, or print it in ABS and just toss the whole thing in the wash. If your cloth is thin or the bite bar doesn't push hard enough, try using the "tough" pin included – it's a little stiffer.
