3D Printable Air Assist for Ortur Laser!
thingiverse
This is a first generation (minimum viable product) of air-assist which we designed for the Ortur Laser Master and other diode based lasers! However please note that plastic burns and use of this model is at your own risk! The model (three parts): **Lens_Holder_v2.stl:** This is designed to hold the laser lens and we suggest using this with a G8 lens (the body was optimized for a G8 lens which you can get here: http://diy3dtech.com/G8-Laser-Lens ). Also to receive the lens you should tap the barrel and here is the 9mm x 0.5 tap for the laser lens (see more here: https://amzn.to/3ld5CpA ). As keep in mind this needs to very square as the beam needs to pass though a very small hole. **Nozzle_Body_v2.stl:** This will require a short M3 bolt to lock the nozzle to the barrel as the idea is to focus the laser via the Lens_Holder_v2 and then slip on the Nozzle Body. If you don't have any short M3 bolts you can get then here: https://amzn.to/2TDrspX **Air_Inlet_v2.stl:**This is where the air enters the nozzles, now this needs to be glued to the Nozzle_Body_v1 and we suggest E600 glue which you can find here: https://amzn.to/3265y24 Also you will need a length of silicone tubing (others will pull too hard moving the nozzle out of alignment) and you can get a length of it here: https://amzn.to/2Qd8xAh Again we do recommend this for use with a G8 Lens which you can get here: http://diy3dtech.com/G8-Laser-Lens as it required a longer focal length. Also for an air pump, we use a small inexpensive air brush compressor which you can find here: https://amzn.to/3iZ5nfU with the presure set to about 6PSI You will also need to source a new house and 1/4" to hose barb adapter (see more here: https://amzn.to/3gjhiDo ). To things, first **use of this is at your own risk** and second this design is pretty much there however I will work to improve it so check back for updates. Also I think that and SLA version will be better and I will work on one and post as a separate thing.
