3D Printable Advertising Box-Gears Innovation Challenge

The "G C A D" and "Gears Innovation" will both appear when the handle is rotated twice; this 3D printed advertising box was designed using FDM prototyping on a Fortus® 400mc 3D Production System. To ensure successful printing, clearance between parts was considered based on Forus's layer thickness of 0.254mm to prevent fusing during the process. High accuracy areas have a thickness of 0.127mm. Mechanically, the bevel gears in the design allow for movement in both radial and axial directions while spur gears only experience an axial force. As a result, the 3D printable advertising box is fully assembled and functioning, 3D printable with a layer thickness of 0.254mm for clearance, and mechanically designed to handle gear forces while using supports and stiffeners for strength.
