3D print RC airplane

thingiverse

This is a radio control airplane designed from scratch and fabricated using a 3D printer. Each piece will be crafted separately and assembled with screws into a sturdy aluminum framework. To ensure printability, each component remains below 180 mm in size, accommodating my printer's specifications. I'm currently exploring two wing design options: a solid surface wing and an empty surface wing with taps installed for future modification. The plane's development is underway, with approximately 80% of the design complete. DesignSpark Mechanical is my go-to CAD software for this project, relying on manual calculations and proportional scaling to bring my vision to life. No complex analysis or simulation tools were used in its creation. As work continues, I'm refining the design and addressing concerns. Version 2 incorporates improvements, including a redesigned horizontal stabilizer, which can be seen in attached images. Future updates will include STL files for Version 2 once they're available.
