3D Planeless Scanner
thingiverse
Create your own DIY printable 3D scanner that works with David Scan for a planeless scan! This project is still a work in progress; I'll upload the STL files as they are finalized. Control will be achieved through an Arduino Uno and Adafruit Motor Shield (or easily replaceable Pololu drivers). Once completed, the sketch and schematics will also be shared. Recently, I fixed the base.stl file, which had a tight fit for the motor. The design calls for a 6mm GT2 belt with a 2mm pitch. When printed, use US machine screws to assemble all parts; you'll need two 608 bearings, a GT2 belt, two stepper motors, an M8 bolt and nut with two M8 washers (or equivalent), and five 8-32 machine screws. The laser line module is from Adafruit with a diameter of 10.11mm; if you need a different size, please contact me.
With this file you will be able to print 3D Planeless Scanner with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on 3D Planeless Scanner.
