<h3><strong>Like to support my work. Comment for improvement.</strong></h3><p>New improved version.</p><p>Despite owning a 3D Connexion Mouse Explorer, I find myself still using my mouse for the translations. The 3D mices are not what I expected them to be. Therefore I'm making my own interpretation of what a 3D mouse should be.</p><h4><strong>Print:</strong></h4><ul><li>Printed in PLA without support.</li><li>Should work as well with resin.</li></ul><h4><strong>Materials:</strong></h4><ul><li>Joystick module 5-pin KY 23 PS2 with the circuit board (geometry is provided).</li><li>4x mini press buttons (6x6x4.3 momentary button).</li><li>1 rotary encoder (5-pin Module EC11).</li><li>11x 6mm ball bearing (airsoft?). 25 balls for the alternative version.</li><li>6x M3 bolt + nut.</li><li>Arduino Pro Micro.</li><li>55mm diameter rubber pad.</li></ul><h4><strong>Assembly:</strong></h4><ol><li>Check the pictures, they are worth 1000 words.</li><li>I cut 8mm from the top metallic rotary bit off the encoder.</li><li>Code is a work in progress</li></ol><h4><strong>Known Issues and Planned Solutions:</strong></h4><ul><li>You can reuse the crown part of the previous version.</li><li>Coming next: replace the 4 buttons on the base with linear potentiometers or strain gauges.</li><li>Temporary solution for the code: I'm declaring it as a joystick through the Arduino app and configure the functions with Joystick Gremlin app.</li><li>Longer term solution: design my own circuit board and code.</li></ul>
