My "Tawamure of Inishie" was selected as part of the Selected Works in a prestigious jewelry contest called JJA2015, the Japan Jewellery Award 2015. This announcement is for my latest creation from the Monkeys series, which I call 366 Days CAD Life. It's set in Kagawa, where I'm based and famous for its olives, specifically on Shodoshima island. In this work, a young child monkey plays innocently, setting the scene for the series of 3D-Monkeys that follows. Each pose is unique and intriguing, showcasing just how close monkeys are to humans in some respects. You can see my pendant designs coming to life as you fasten the necklace around your neck. When I created these, I focused on making the tail of the monkey act as a pass-through for the necklace, adding a new dimension to my art form.
