sketchfab
This significantly smaller temple mound underwent construction in 1929 when a neighboring house to the west was built and partially destroyed a portion of the site. The entire site was meticulously mapped by S.T. Walker in 1880, showcasing its full extent along with a prominent ramp feature to the south. Dr. Robert Austin led a field school from Eckerd College in 1992, revisiting the site to produce a topographic map highlighting its present-day configuration. In 2014, a thorough terrestrial LiDAR survey was conducted, accompanied by aerial LiDAR and GPS data, resulting in an exhaustive examination of the site, including detailed sectional and volumetric analysis.
