3D Map of my Commute to School

This design was crafted specifically for week 6 of the Ultimaker design engine challenge, where participants were presented with the "Pathfinder!" challenge card - Create a 3D map that encapsulates your daily commute to work or school, yet remains compact enough to fit neatly in your pocket. The parameter cards included Parameter Card #1 - Future and Parameter Card #2 - Accessibility, along with Modifier Card #1 - Shell, which instructed designers to hollow out a portion of their design. Additionally, the gameplay card "Blind Eye" allowed participants to disregard one of their chosen parameters; I elected to ignore Parameter Card - Accessibility. The resulting 3D map vividly captures my commute to school, accurately depicting both the path and general elevation changes, as well as notable buildings in the area. This detailed map was created by utilizing a screenshot from Google Maps directions for the route, with real-life elements added to provide an accurate representation of local features - although these elements are not scaled precisely, they effectively convey their presence in the environment. By incorporating Parameter Card #1 - Future, this map serves as a tool for charting my future career trajectory, while Modifier Card #1 - Shell was implemented by utilizing the shell command to define the outer structure of the model.
