The classic original attraction icons at Epcot (excluding the Health Pavilion) just aren't practical like The New Hobbyist's coaster set - they're more suitable for decorating a shelf and collecting dust. Since I created these 3D models, I took some artistic liberties to ensure I stayed true to the original designers' intent. As these designs don't have a base, I added connectors to prevent them from being disconnected, just like with the World of Motion or Universe of Energy attractions. Print Settings: Printer: Maker Select (Wanhao Duplicator i3) Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1 Infill: 10 Notes: Infill isn't necessary, especially if it's just for decoration. Since it's a decorative item, a low resolution is recommended, but it ultimately depends on your preference. Post-Printing: How I Designed This I stumbled upon some black and white images of the original logos, imported them into Sketchup, started by estimating the size, then did as much precision work as possible while adhering to the original design. Blender was used for Boolean operations. For instance, the Epcot logo consisted of five tori (I had to look up the plural form), rotated from the center at 73-degree angles, so there were plenty of internal geometries that needed cleaning. The free version of Sketchup lacks great Boolean tools, so I utilized Blender. Then, I let my imagination take over and 3D-ized them, such as The Land sloping upwards like it's growing plants; or the Living Seas being wavy because... they're literally waves.
