3D House Printer - Concrete Castle

3D House Printer - Concrete Castle

Here are 1:25 scale STLs of a concrete castle printed by Andrey Rudenko on his 3D House Printer. The castle design was created by Misha Tikh and printed by Andrey Rudenko. From Andrey: It's been two years since I first started exploring the idea of using 3D printers to construct homes. My vision for this technology involved a light, portable, and stable machine that could print with precision. Initially, I built a small 3D printer that used plastic as its primary material, then experimented with enlarging the printer and using different cement mixes. Mixing cement was a complex task - it required fine-tuning the printer's programming and precise measurements of the cement mixture. During testing, I encountered challenges like clogged extruders and discovered the printer's capabilities exceeded my expectations, including its ability to print over 50cm per day. After calibrating the machine to produce nearly flawless layers, I experimented with various layer heights and widths, settling on a standard of 10mm in height by 30mm in width, but other options are available with ease. This two-year journey has led me to build the world's first 3D-printed concrete castle, which is now complete.
