3D Honeycomb Infill concept
pinshape
A friend and I identified a flaw in existing infill patterns and set out to design our own. Recognizing that hexagonal structures utilize the least amount of material to create a lattice within a given volume, we drew inspiration from how bee's nests intersect two opposing honeycomb layers seamlessly. This model is purely conceptual and not intended for practical use. A single comb cell STL file has been included so you can see exactly what was removed during processing.
