3D Hilbert Curve
thingiverse
I'm a math student at the University of Maine, focusing on theoretical mathematics. These 3D models I created in Rhino showcase the Hilbert Curve concept. You can find printable files for the first, second, and third iterations of this curve. Since it's an infinite family of curves, I've written a program to draw initial curves and provide instructions on how to pipe them. By modifying the code, you can either create the initial curve as a single polyline or seven individual lines that connect. The final step, which pipes and meshes the curve, is still under development and might not work correctly, so it's recommended to bypass it and handle piping and meshing manually. To achieve the desired pipe diameter, ensure it's just barely touching itself.
With this file you will be able to print 3D Hilbert Curve with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on 3D Hilbert Curve.
