With infill or solid… No support needed…  Sounds great… comes close to a High-End-Drum… close, but we just got started here. Unique features of this 3d-drum-idea….Two different conical Sound-Shapes inside (like a African Djembe)gives two different Drumhead-Possibilities as a Batter- or Resonant-Sidea unique sound-experienceOutstanding DesignPentagon-Relief on the outside shellasymmetrical 9 tuning-screws and drum-lugs (instead of 8 or 10 as usual)a unique drum-hoop-design, fitting those 9 screwsHollow Shell-Construction gives a additional Resonant-Body (like acoustic-guitar)Penta-Hole No 1 - Air-Hole big enough to insert 2 cables with microphone-plugs into the drumeasy placement of 2 microphones inside - without a hole in the drumheadPenta-Hole No 2 - Shell-Holegives access to Hollow-Shell for extra microphone placement inside the shell (to be experimented with…) filling-material (to be experimented with…)filling up the Shell (with Sand or Granulat) gives a variable Shell-Mass/Weight a light drum to carrya heavy/flexible drum to playmore or less Low-End Frequencie(lots of fun with a vacuum-cleaner to remove the filling from the drum… ;-)Feet-Construction without the need for extra holes in the shellfits right over those “drum-lugs”easy to swap the Batter- and Resonant-SideYou will need…1x printed Shell (uploaded)print as solid as possible for a better sound.
