The logo for the upcoming Delta emulator (and for GBA4IOS) by Riley Testut transforms into a 3D model in the style of the N64 logo. A closer look at the thumbnail preview reveals an optical illusion, but rotating the model dispels it completely. Print Settings: Rafts: No support required Resolution: A layer height of .2 is optimal for this design Infill: 15% infill will give you a solid foundation without wasting material Notes: Make sure your solid infill threshold area is small enough to prevent a solid logo from printing throughout. This is not a major issue, but it does waste some material. Design Process: First, I created a 2D sketch of the logo using inventor. Unfortunately, I didn't discover a SVG version of the logo until later, so I measured distances and angles using GIMP instead. The next step was to extrude the sketch at an angle, which I achieved using the sweep command along a line with a specific angle. This angle was adjusted until everything aligned perfectly, resulting in one face of the logo. Finally, I created an axis through the center of the square at the top and used the revolve command to create four copies of the face.
