3D Construction Set
thingiverse
Recently I constructed a lighting system that produces no shadows, featuring a highlight lamp. A few extra LED boards lying around proved to be just what I needed, and chances are yours will too. To assemble the framework, I picked up 1/2-inch aluminum rod from McMaster Carr in the form of 36-inch square tubing measuring 1/2 by 1/2 inches. For the hinges, I used 1/4-20 bolts that were 3/4 inch long along with matching nuts. Securing the bolt heads in place with caps and tightening the hinge assembly using the nuts completes this part of the project. The mounting base boasts a #8 clearance hole complete with a countersink for easy installation. Be sure to check out the photos of my setup.
