3D Circular Tesla Valve
thingiverse
This concept revolves around Nikolai Tesla's groundbreaking one-way valve with no moving parts. Initially, Tesla envisioned a two-dimensional and planar design, but this iteration transforms it into a circular shape. Currently, this is an ongoing project, and even from its inception, the theoretical maximum efficiency stands at approximately 20-30%. Assessing its effectiveness proves challenging due to these limitations. However, blowing into it yields noticeable differences, suggesting potential functionality. To enhance printability on 3D printers, I divided the original design in half. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations reveal a 20% difference in efficiency between outgoing and incoming airflow. If interest builds around this concept, I'll share accompanying visualizations.
