3D Chess
grabcad
The chessboard can be viewed as a metaphor of the battlefield, where opponents fight on uneven terrain, such as hills and valleys. To add depth to this concept, I imagined 3D tiles with a medieval touch for each piece. Chess enthusiasts may find this interesting or challenging. The black and white chess pieces are separately printable in 3D and can be assembled easily. You can find the STL models of these pieces on my Sculpteo shop "FCPRS". Print templates are provided, but the chessboard must be reduced by approximately 65% in size. Piece scale is adjustable within price limitations. A virtual model is available at this link: http://www.webalice.it/flaviano.crespi/Link_Chess_3D_VR.html.
