3D Chameleon Adapter For Monoprice MK3
thingiverse
This adapter is designed for the Monoprice MK3 Printer and its clones, replacing the Bowden connector with a new setup. The switch mounts in place of the stock extruder motor, while the motors are secured to the top left/right of the frame using existing screw holes. The stock extruder motor connects directly to the switch, which is triggered when the X axis reaches its maximum value. For some machines, disabling software endstops (M211 S0) allows the X axis to collide with the right side rail, triggering the switch. Using the "3D Chameleon for the Ender 3" configuration in Cura works seamlessly without any issues. Printing with PETG at 30% infill and a layer height of 0.3mm is possible, along with ABS. To set up the printer correctly, insert one PC4-M10 screw into the top and push the PTFE tube all the way through to make contact with the stock hot end. It may be necessary to add spacers or washers to achieve the desired location due to slight differences in the metal frame depending on the model and manufacturer.
