3D Chain Link Rings
thingiverse
Introducing my initial OpenSCAD project! Creating this brought back some dusty trigonometry concepts to calculate the correct angles between openings. The angle between a cube's diagonal and base is arccosine(√2/3), while the angle with an edge is arcsine(√2/3). I hope someone can 3D print this design, though I'm still learning about the technology. These units can be interlocked in intriguing one-, two-, and three-dimensional patterns on a computer, even forming a unique three-dimensional chain.
