3D Catan Ocean Border with Snaps
thingiverse
I created these border components to pair seamlessly with JAWong's 3D Catan Pieces found at thingiverse.com/thing:26979. The parts feature a carefully calculated dovetail clearance, allowing each piece to fit precisely together without the slightest issue. If your prints turn out too tight, simply adjust your flowrate multiplier or lightly sand the faces in question. Since I intend to use this design with the Seafarers expansion, where port positions change frequently, I deliberately omitted a depression for ports in these components. Instead, simply place them on top of the water feature as needed. Future designs will accommodate this feature if requested. For a 5-6 player Seafarers game night, you'll require 20 straight borders and 6 corner borders. Visit my design gallery to explore additional Catan parts available. Print Settings Printer Brand: Leapfrog Printer: Creatr Resolution: 0.25mm Notes I experienced some print failure due to warped parts during removal from the hot bed, so I began waiting for the bed to fully cool before lifting the components. This modification helped them retain their flat shape.
