3D body-scan (structured light)
thingiverse
This is a 3D scan of me, captured using an ESUN structured light scanner. The device utilizes four towers featuring eight projectors and 16 cameras to achieve a comprehensive scan within two seconds. Detailed photos of the scanning process can be found online. The accompanying files include the raw OBJ output as well as a watertight STL file suitable for printing. As a firm believer in Open Source, I offer this scan in the hope that it may benefit various projects. However, please remember that this is a real person's likeness and will likely be visible in the final result. Be respectful. Update 8/30/15: A refined version of the cleaned up scan has been uploaded courtesy of ESUN. This iteration corrects the distorted facial features present in the original file, which I've labeled as the "best version". Additionally, the texture file provided by ESUN is included within the zip archive.
