3D bed scraper
thingiverse
I designed a new scraper specifically to remove things from my glass bed and needed something reliable, so I decided to print one first and use that right away. I opted for ABS plastic as it has superior strength and durability, which is essential for a tool like this. To make the scraper easier to detach from my bed after printing, I printed it in an unconventional way - sideways. This intentional design choice allows for smoother removal, reducing the risk of damaging the printer or its components. Here are the print settings: Printer: Da Vinci 1.0 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: High Infill: 20% I chose to print it on a raft, which made it easier to remove from my bed as it helped reduce the stickiness and ensured a clean detachment. Since I didn't have a scraper yet to carefully detach the model, I decided to print it sideways. You can refer to the attached files for both flat and printed-on-side orientations. I used Sketchup to create this design from scratch.
