3D Archery Target and Scoring Inserts
thingiverse
Need to hone your 3D Archery scoring skills for that upcoming tournament on a standard flat surface? I did, so I designed a universal ASA 3D Archery Target with removable inserts that can be swapped out when they wear down, get damaged, or are trashed. There's also a solid one-piece target featuring raised scoring circles, eliminating the need to constantly remove individual inserts from your arrows once they hit the mark. If you print the solid one-piece target, simply color in the numbers and circles with a sharpie to identify different areas from afar. I replicated the specs found online but note that the inserts may be slightly smaller than the actual version due to my 6x9 printing bed limitations on my FlashForge Creator Pro. This design is intended for printing with TPU or another flexible material, which won't damage your arrow tips or create a mess on the ground with fractured PLA parts. However, you're free to choose your preferred material. I tested these targets with TPU and found that it flexes back into place after each shot. You can adjust the thickness of the inserts based on your preference – anywhere from 3-6mm seems to hold its shape well when repeatedly punctured, and my 35# traditional bow string weight still manages to pierce it. The solid one-piece file is 7mm thick, so feel free to adjust as needed. To set up, hang the assembled 3D target on your main target using a nail or something similar pushed through. Now, get out there and start shooting!
