An alternative to expensive aluminum motor retainers and unsightly z-clips, this 38mm screw-on retainer is a great way to ensure your rocket motor is safely retained in the motor mount. Compatible with Aerotech, CTI, Loki, and most 38mm snap-ring hardware, both parts are designed to be printable without support in a high-temperature material like ASA, Nylon, or PC. I've had best results with carbon fiber filled materials like NylonX or Prusament PCCF. After printing, the retainer is designed to be epoxied (use a high-temp epoxy like JB-Weld) to both the motor mount tube and the aft centering ring of your rocket, and is compatible with all major tubing brands.
