A 38 mm hanging spool bearing requires 12 mm M3 x 4 screws and a 1/4 inch countersink bit for acme rod hole reaming. Use a C clamp or vice to secure the chain, along with an appropriate pre-drill bit. Attach two bearing holders and chain adapters; file the 608zz surface if necessary. Ensure a tight fit on one side and a looser fit on the other for the acme bar. Insert the chain from a 10-foot box (34mm x 11mm links) after widening its hole, and secure with a set screw. Tiewrap one end to the chain link and bar for extra safety. Mount spools on the loose side and use set screws for added security.
