I'm currently working on a 3-part soft drink vending project at our local Makerspace. The design is still in progress and hasn't been printed yet, but it's coming along nicely. When designing the parts, I made sure to consider printability and minimize support structures for the largest components. One part that might be challenging to manufacture is the worm gear - it could require some extra attention during production. The holes on this design are specifically sized for 11mm diameter, 5mm thick stainless steel bearings, which will provide a smooth and reliable operation. This project was designed using Inventor 2019, which was my first time working with this software.
