The primary objective of these designs is detailed in "3D Printed UV-vis Cuvette Adapter for Low Cost and Versatile Spectroscopic Experiments," which is published openly in ACS Omega, a journal that provides unrestricted access. The publication can be accessed at http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/acsomega.7b01310. This specific component is designed to replicate the functionality of traditional quartz and glass UV-vis Spectrometer cuvettes. In this design, we have established a path length of 10 mm and a sample volume of approximately 0.362 mL. This cuvette can be utilized in most standard UV-Vis spectrometers. We suggest printing this design with black filament to minimize light scattering. An instructional video demonstrating the assembly process for the spectrometer is presented below, following the completion of printing. The materials required are listed along with the video. Depending on the desired spectral range of the cuvette, either quartz or glass windows can be used.
