An ongoing project aims to refit an old Agfa "Brownie Box" camera for 35mm film usage. The designer plans to use a 3D-printed, light-tight container to store the undeveloped film and unspool it directly into the camera for better exposure control. Upon film removal, only one or two frames will be exposed, similar to other analog loading mechanisms. Once developed, the film can be spooled back up into a 35mm canister. The design is still a work in progress, awaiting a 3D printer and further testing of the film-loading mechanism. Design elements include a spool holder for advancing film into the container using a screwdriver, though an elegant solution may be found later. The creator thanks Thingiverse members kellyegan and mlagana for their inspiration and resources.
