35mm Slide Copy Stand for Smart Phones
thingiverse
This summer, I digitized several 35mm slides using a simple DIY slide copy stand. The device features a base that securely holds the slide and phone in alignment, a backlit screen for proper illumination, and an optional close-up macro lens for better image quality. To assemble the stand, print out the required parts in black or gray plastic, cut and attach a translucent background screen and reflective ramp cover, and mount the lens on top plate using M3 screws. For optimal results, use a white light source to illuminate the slide and adjust phone orientation accordingly. The design is customizable, allowing users to create additional top plates for different devices. Check out the YouTube video for assembly and usage instructions.
