35mm Film Negative Scanner Attachment for iPhone 6/6s
thingiverse
Human: AKA the world's most ridiculous iPhone case. This attaches to your iPhone 6 or 6s, allowing you to scan 35mm film negatives with ease. Autodesk Inventor source files are included for your convenience. ## Assembly Instructions Print one of each part, ideally using an opaque filament for best results. You will also need the following components: 1. Ten M3 nuts and ten M3x16 screws (alternative lengths may work as well) 2. A piece of suitable diffuser material and some glue to secure it inside the diffuser box 3. A convex or biconvex lens with a diameter of 25mm and focal length of 45mm The lens is necessary due to the phone's camera having a relatively long minimum focal distance. Alternatively, the spacer could be lengthened, but this would compromise available resolution. Using a simple (bi)convex lens introduces some pincushion distortion, which can be easily corrected with GIMP or Photoshop software. ## Work in Progress To-Do List: * Combine the negative frame and spacer into one part * Design an LED light fixture to attach to the diffuser box
